so the bug bite i mentioned earlier is the size of a tennisball now. wheee how fun. sensei had some cortazone cream to put it on so im surviving.
today we visited ms tokai. it was quite fun. she took a liking to micheal. and told us about how she went to the locks and ate muscles.
kinkakuji. been there done that. ok not really but i had been there before and it was overrun with loud tourists. so i was a bit peeved at the whole thing.
we where going to go to another temple but it was closed. sadness. i think were going tomorrow though.
shopped like noones buisness. i think im spending my money well.

im currently at the Kyoto Youth Hostile. I love this hostile. Its really roomy and they have cheap icecream in the lobby. last night i was attacked by a spider, so my left thumb is swollen to double its size. so fun. Meg gave me some beneadrill to help the swelling. its making me all woozy.
i was sad that the homstay ended. i was started to get use to speeking japanese more and understanding it better. hanakos family is very nice and i got her e-mail. for some reason i completely spaced out and didnt take any pictures of them. stupid me, sorry mom.
i have yet to figure out this stupid keyboard. grrr.
today we went into downtown kyoto, i was sad because the waffel shop was gone, but we got cake instead. hahahah cake is so good.
tomorrow is Ms. Tokai and a hundered other temples and shrines. i will bring back many charms. |

finding a computer has been problimatic in the last few days. right now im borrowing my host families little computer. its really cute i just cant find any of the punctuation and the space bar is really really really short. oh well.
so tokyo was a lot of fun, i wish we could have stayed longer. i was also disapointed with the lack of character the neighborhood we were staying in had. it was mostly office buildings and bus stops.
takayama rocked my socks. it was really really cold, but the weather was nice and sunny. that whole speech in front of 600 people was just as bad as i thought it would be. i dont think they understood me. the youth hostile in takayama was a temple and it smelled like yummy smoke. we went shopping and took lots of pictures. my host mom from last year was there and gave me a small gift. being the slick one i am gave her the almond rocca i was suppose to give to takayama. hehehehe. go me. that woman is so nice, she gave the whole class cake. oishiii we visited the float museum and they had added two new puppet things that where pretty cool. shibihara sensei had a friend of a friend that let us into his onsen fir free. unfortunetly the water was so fucking hot that we only stayed in for half a second before having to run out. we where all so cooked from the water. Katie looked like a lobster. i miss takayama, i think im going to make a point of living there some day.
Now im in nagoya. it is very hot here. i think today it was 24 degrees C thats like 80 F. to day we went to the Meiji Mura museum. It has all these old buildings from the meiji period that they relocated to one huge park. they even have an old steam engine you can ride in and a stable for horses. japanese horses are so cute and fat.
i wish i figure out the punctuation on this key board. hell with it. im sure youll live. oh and mom. i sent the postcards yesterday. <3 |

wow busy day.
Yesterday: stayed up for longer then 24 hours. Lots of fun that was. Nothing else really happend though.
today: went to Meiji shrine. It was really warm and very worth it. I got some charms for friends. then we went to harujuku to enjoy the teen culture. I got miya a preasant and some earings for myself. it was really busy and a lot of fun. I also got a gackt cd for andrew, because it was there and cheap. then we went to Asakusa and saw the shaopping arcade. i bought postcards, so be happy mom. the temple was so busy. after that we went to the imperial palace and waved at the royal family. then we got to go to sony and see all the really expensive electronics. i really want one of the ultra thin minidisk players now.
all over it was a really fun day. I spent way too much money but ill be ok.
dinner is soon so i have to go
